Lost Within

by Levi   Nov 21, 2006

Brutal judgment from the tempest,
Without my thoughts I cannot rest.
Elicited by my eyes, I am carried away,
Within the whisper of a forgotten day.

My lips move but speech is unclear,
And my vacant eyes show no fear.
Even though I am truly not free,
Memories broken that should never be.

Fractured figments of my imagination,
Leading me slowly towards my damnation.
The innocence of me is forever gone,
And as dusk falls I can only mourn.

Settled inside my soul of darkened chains,
The fear drips down my body as does the rain.
Paranoid from the shadows that follow,
I feel so lost, I feel so hollow...

Forgotten pasts of futures thats been seen,
The heinous crimes and things I have been.
An indecisive question of the answer and care,
Looking in the mirror finally to realize this isn't fair.

"Settled inside my soul of darkened chains,

Fab images within this poem, especially from those two lines.
    Great dark poem.
    Keep it up
