Unseeing Eyes

by Namida   Nov 21, 2006

Looking at me with unseeing eyes,
eyes that used to be so full of life.

Eyes that never told any lies,
glares that could cut just like a knife.

Tears drip out of my own(eyes),
landing softly upon his face.

A face that would never laugh again,
cry again,
leaving me in a world of despair.

Cold hands lifeless,
never to curl around my waist,
never again to brush a stray lock of hair away.

Tears blur my vision,
as I stare down once more,
at empty eyes, lifeless eyes,
eyes that will never see again.

**Note, this is just a thought, and no one has passed away that is close to me recently, though I grieve every day for all those people who have gone away from this earth.

You have done a great job on this poem.

A face that would never laugh again,
    cry again,
leaving me in a world of despair.

You don't know how this touched me.
