Four Corners of My Soul

by Seeker of Truth   Nov 21, 2006

I sit in silence as I watch the trees sway in the breeze.
Everything seems to have come to a stand-still.
My breathing has slowed, my mind has nearly stopped.
I'm in a place of peace.

But it's a slight pause.

I sit in silence as I watch the ocean ebb and flow.
Time is but a dream, thrust upon me by an aging.
Death comes to all, as does rebirth.
I'm in a place of power.

But it's a humbling scene.

I sit in silence as I watch the flames dance.
I here their quiet plight, as it is my own, waiting for the burning emotion to calm, to sleep.
I'm in a place of furious solitude.

But it's a clouded feeling.

I sit in silence as I watch the sand storm descend upon me.
It washes my soul, cleansing of worldly impurities, making me stronger with each passing day.
I'm in a place of restoration.

But I must first learn before being restored.

As the light of day,
And dark of night,
Alternate nature.
