This poem was written for a poetry challenge
in the R.T.V.W club.
Topic : Things that go away, and come back again
Dedicated to all the woman

Has it been 28 days already
since you've gone away
now your back again to visit
and I alway dread your stay
...... no welcome mat for you

You simply have no consideration
dropping in whenever you please
delivering cramps to my stomach
that nearly knocks me to my knees
...... should be a law against this

Woof down a pound of chocolate
what do you care, how fat I get
emotions on a teeter-tatter
oh, this mood swing isn't over yet
...... so men beware

Ah, those feminine hygiene products
the ones that bear your name
with pretty colors and little flowers
haven't you any deceitful shame
...... nothing pretty about this

We've had the cramps long enough
women should now have a chance to vote
I kindly hand over my menses crown to all men
now wouldn't that just sink their boat
...... but after all it is called MENstruation

Don't bother calling the gynecologist
he'll only say, he knows how it feels
I'll give him a taste of his medicine
with this pair of 3 inch heels
...... now who feels nauseous huh ?

Well, 5 days have now passed
time to say good-bye again Aunt Flo
I know you'll be back again real soon
can't say I'm sad to see you go
...... Good Lord, how long till menopause
