Still, Here I Stand

by Wasted Fake Smiles   Nov 21, 2006

Rain falls down, to the ground,
Pitter-patter is the only sound.
Lonely girl, all alone,
Soaking wet; has no home.

Family left, not out of love,
But of hate, left with a shove.
Trying to find, someone to care,
She's calling out...but no one's there.

Still, here I stand, all alone,
This girl is me, and it hurts to the bone.
I have no one to love me anymore,
Here I stand, waiting for what's in store.

3 days later, still hasn't eaten,
She has lost, they've beaten,
All she believed, is down the drain,
Washed away by the still pouring rain.

Sleeps in the park under the bench,
Trying not to get sick, but she is drenched.
Has no one to come and take her pain away,
All she can do is wait for a better day.

Still, here I stand, all alone,
I have no one to call on the old pay phone.
I have no one, to care what I will do...
Please, someone...come to my rescue.

As always, i really liked your emotion in this. i think everyone can relate to this in some way: feeling alone. there were a few things about it that i would probably change...basically just that you put commas in where it wasn't neccesary and then the 'alone, bone' rhyme seemed kind of forced. but other than that, you amazed me yet again, WC!
