Sweet Sacrifice.

Sweet Sacrifice.

She slams the bottle down - looking upon a shattered frame,
Covering a boy and another pretty face without a name;
Heart breaker, don't you know your little lines ate her alive,
And left her with nothing but empty promises to survive?

You scripted the act and played it out on a silver screen,
And I have to say, you did quite well on the love scene;
And with your bloody dagger, you stabbed her in the heart;
Dying like a movie star in your arms, she played the part.

And as rusty tears trickle down from her blood shot eyes,
Her naive heart continues to believe your pathetic lies;
A sweet sacrifice you cluttered with petty duct tape sorries -
And with a shudder she slurs: "You know you live to break me."

    This was another piece done very well. Based on your other poems, I would suggest using another expression other than 'slams down the bottle' only because I've seen you use it several times. And though it packs a punch, it loses it because I've read it at least three times. Although, if this was my first time upon your work, and I'd never seen your other poems, I'd say this was an outstanding piece, with words of anger entertwined perfectly throughout!
