My Loveless World

Past pain of a broken heart still lingers
Occasionally the cracks appear again
Silently the contents flow through to my eyes
Inside these small salty tears is all the pain

Remembering the love I had for him
Now seeing the love he has for her
It breaks my heart each and every time
It brings back memories of what we were

He was everything to me; my whole world
I cherished every moment we shared
The nights we would talk for hours
It was then I knew he truly cared

The distance didn't mean a thing
We loved each other with all our hearts
Our love grew stronger and stronger
Until one day it all fell apart

Fading memories are all that's left
Along with my heart that's shattered
Now my world is dull and hopeless
To me, he was all that mattered.
