Can You Fix It?

by jello   Nov 22, 2006

The doctor pulled it out and I asked, "Can you fix it?"
He shook his head and walked away never to come back and fix it.

Without my heart I feel bare
Do you even care?
I feel myself break
All I feel is hate

You broke my heart more than once
It hurt a bunch
I started to get a hunch
That you never loved me
That you'd never let me be
Who I am, who I want to be
Can't you see
That you were hurting me?
Can you please set me free?

I feel stuck
I'm in a muck
All I want
Is my heart but it will always haunt
My hopes and dreams
Someday I wish to redeem
And be on your team

Yet again I wish I could take it
Back that day when the doctor took my heart and couldn't fix it
And walked away with it
In his hand
He threw it away and suddenly I couldn't stand

So let me take you back to the beginning
Where there was a unbreakable sin
He took my heart out and I asked, "Can you fix it?"
He shook his head and walked away never to come back and fix it...
