The Rambling of The Wanderer

by Tru   Nov 22, 2006

This is a Long time Coming as well. This piece is for a dear friend to me Vladimira Rose Styx.

"The Rambling of The Wanderer"

Forever was the dream that sparks to life,
The fire in your eyes.
Now that lay broken and tattered, like the sheets that covered my eyes.
Not even a mid-summer rain,
Could Quench the thirst I have for your soft, gentle words.
I am lost in the endlessness of it all.
As the wind spoke to me of your soft, cloudy grace,
It took to you, the caring smile that rests upon my face.
I spoke to the wind, This gale like force, and pleaded for it to quickly change it's course.
So I could yet see the beginning of my existence, The day I gazed upon your innocence.
The fair words to a restless spirit,
are spoken to instead a Wandering Soul.
Bound and broken by a bitter sweet taste of victory,
Twilight's chance of shadow's,
Is the final beginning bell of the story of the goddess and the Wanderer.

Sa, I'm so flattered! I'm so happy you wrote a reply, and thank you very much for the email, also. ^^
Speaking of which, you shouldn't be trying to match up to my standards, because yours is so much higher! I love this poem, it's beautiful, especially with that underlying (yet distinct) melancholic tone. I liked your choice of words, especially "soft, cloudy grace".
And yes, it would be lovely to work on another duo. Lol, I promise to be faster in posting next time!
