I was only 10 years old when granddad past away
I was a broken hearted little boy and I remember him to this day
My sister cried and my dad did too, but my mum was in so much pain
The tears thats she cried were coming down like rain
But mum you have no reason to cry for granddads always here to stay
His sprits here so dont be sad mum granddads watching you 2day

As you look in to the sky o so very far
You can see granddad smile for hes the brightest star
Thats how you no hes watching us when that star shins so bright
You can almost hear him speak in the cold breeze of the night
When your alone and think you have no one always think he can see
Cause every hour of everyday hes watching over you and me

I remember him sitting with my sister and me
Doing crossword puzzles that he made look easy
I remember my granddad and grandma all the love they had
I no for sure that he was a wonderful dad
He was in the war and came back a hero to everyone
But uve always been our hero your legacy with never be gone

He left this world at 69 years old
With a peaceful sleep and a heart of gold
When we finally meet again in heaven above
Ill open up to you ill show you my love
We will be with him one day mum we will all be there
Then our family with finally be repaired

Your always in our heart and your memories will never be erased
We love you forever you will never be replaced
We will always be here for you always giving our love
Your not just our granddad now your our guardian angel from above
Have a good after life live it up and be free
We love you forever in our hearts you will always be.
