The road we started this journey on
It now seems so many years ago
Seemed so smooth, straight and rockless
What was in the future how were we to know
As the dips in the road began to slowly appear
We swerved around them with a bright guiding light
Until suddenly there were too many dips
And our hearts hit a dip one dark night
Our souls starting to part,we stood on the roadside
Waiting for something,someone to come to our aid
That something was our resolve, bonding our hearts
So strong, determined not to let our love fade
Now all these years later, on that same rocky road
We have two little children to take in our car
We may again have some dips in our continuing journey
But this time we know our love is an eternal star
