Dedicated to my friend becca

by ashley   Nov 22, 2006

I got a call late one night about your car crash
you were seriously injured your brother had whiplash

the sports bus was blocking your sight so you didn't see the truck flying
why did you leave us Becca why did you stop trying

word got around that you were brain dead
i couldn't believe it all because of how you hit your head..

I'm still in denial i act like this isn't real
our school dedicated a place for you and we miss you still

i remember looking in on your casket and it didn't look like you
when i saw you last you weren't swollen and blue

you had the prettiest hair Ive ever seen
but they had you in a whig because they shaved your head so you would be clean

it was so unnatural looking at you and knowing there was no one there
i cursed at god telling him he was so unfair

I think that this is a great way to honor becca and you are right it was so unfair that she was taken from us...the world lost one of it's best people that day.

So sad, but such a well-written poem. seeing your friend without any life is one of the worst feelings ever and you really captured it. i will never get the image out of my head of my friend, and that feeling of confusion, like remembering how it was such a short time ago that they were running around talking to you, and now they are just, i don't know, gone, i guess.
