Intoxication

by Jessica   Nov 23, 2006

Darling, just call yourself my Kryptonite,
My mortal weakness among strengths,
The intriguing mortification I can’t help but want,
You’re my everything and my nothing.

Try and depict yourself as perfectly imperfect,
The desire of my rapidly beating heart,
Imagine yourself within the depths of my mind,
Prodding around parts unknown.

I ask you to define the person you are,
To understand that you have power beyond reason,
Acknowledge the fact that you are different,
That I happen to care about you.

Perhaps I don’t show such emotions to you,
Those grand feelings being unnoticeable,
I assume my hard exterior is the reason,
For I am quite careful in whom I choose to love.

But darling, know that it was you I chose,
The man whom had me falling at his feet,
You are intoxicatingly irresistible,
That one anti-drug that I’m nothing but addicted to.
