Kissed by an Angel

by Wasted Fake Smiles   Nov 23, 2006

Once upon a time, in a cold dusty room,
A girl sat alone, ready to face her doom.
There she stood, razor blade to wrist,
Stopping to say goodbye in the mist.

She yelled for mom and dad to come,
They made up excuses, but by rule of thumb,
She knew better. They just didn't care,
They never did, they were NEVER there.

She said, "no I mean it, I think you should,
It'll only take a minute, and it's good!"
Her mom and dad turned off the TV,
She whispered, "this is it, the finale of me"

"So mom and dad, ready for the show?"
"Get on with it! I have somewhere to go!"
They yelled at her, so she said, "ok"
With that took the razor and took her life away.

They looked at her dead body in appall,
"I hope you burn in hell with the devil and all,
You rotten child! I'm sick just looking,
Let's call them to get her, the soonest booking."

A few days later, a funeral was arranged,
Though out of happy spirit...it was deranged.
They spoke of how happy they were she was dead,
And I sat with these people...they're NUTS in the head.

I stood up and shout, "You guys are mad!
Listen to what you're saying, aren't you sad?
Don't you care that she dead because of you?
She KILLED herself out of hate from what you do.

You treated her like dirt every night and day,
You called her ugly and fat and tortured her everyway.
You never showered her with love, like family should,
How is her death happy? How is this good?"

I stormed out the church and got in my car,
Slammed the door and drove to the local bar.
Got real wasted, and looked to my right,
Saw and angel sitting next to me, right in sight.

"Hey, it's you. So you are finally free,
I'm sorry for how they treated you, it shouldn't be.
If I only knew, I would've taken you away,
Please don't hate me, we'll reunite someday."

She spoke back with her beautiful voice,
"It's ok, sis, I made the right choice.
I'm finally happy, and free from that hell,
But I have a secret...promise you won't tell?"

"Ok" I said, as I moved closer to hear,
"what you did was right, do not fear.
God saw what you did, and you put up a good fight,
You're coming to heaven when the timing's right.

As for mom and dad, well, we won't see them again,
They ran off a cliff on the way to see their friend.
They're dead, sis, now you can live on,
Don't forget me, I'll see you when you're also gone.

I'll see you later, I love you so much"
She kissed my cheek with her angelic touch.
"I love you too, I'll keep you're memory alive,
Take your heart with me and my every stride."

With that she was gone, and I passed out,
Woke up in my room, confused and in doubt.
"Did that really happen, or just a drunken dream?"
Then I saw the kiss mark...it was, as it seemed...
