Crashing on Air

by DooDee   Nov 23, 2006

From all the things in the world
Oh God , I just miss your smiles
The ones that floated on your lips
And sparkled in your adorable brown eyes

You were the perfection of imperfection
& everything that wasnt supposed to be done
You were the tears in my laughter
And the winter's bright sun
My dreams when I was awake
And my forbidden and illegal fun

You made me break the rules
And laugh when I was supposed to cry
You made me love being wrong
And believe that I had wings that could make me fly

With you I was someone else
The reflection in my mirror changed
Was that how falling in love felt ?
Even my innocent heart got stained
You left your fingerprints on it's walls
And had everything in its rooms , rearranged..

When I come to speak about you
Words get lost on my lips
And when I think about how your hands fitted mine
I find myself kissing my fingertips

You taught me to be strong
And to always walk around like I owned the place
How was I supposed to do that ?
When you just left , without a trace ?
When I felt myself fading into air ?
And when half of me, was erased?

I loved you so much
That was truer that any scientific fact
Deeper than any Shakespearean act
And more complicated than any kind of Math
Did you have any idea ?
Oh Baby baby , didnt??t you know that ?

How did it feel to be somebody's life ?
Their eyes , words , dreams , and tomorrow ?
Their everything ?
Their only joy and their most painful sorrow ?

If I had the chance to tell you one thing
I donâ??t know what would it be ..
Words blast from my brain like a rainstorm
That quickly fades behind the horizon and the blue sea

All is gone but a lost me
Floating on the sea's blue surface
With my lips trembling from the cold
And my long brown hair surrounding my face

You'll hear a soft melody
Coming from down beneath ..
Donâ??t worry baby ..
That's just my heart
Once again ,
Learning how to breathe â?¦..
