Heart of a Poet

by Rustedwings   Nov 24, 2006

Think not for a moment,
that you've snared a poets heart.
For that would be wrong.

Speak not words that his heart sees you in passing.
For those would be lies.

Think that you've given
a snared heart its voice.
And that would be right.

Speak words that it sees you
and is blind to all else.
And those would be truth.

Know it was but a heart
and now is a poet.
For thats what's here spelt.

Know that it loves you
above anything else.
For that's what is felt.
