Amber eyes

by diary   Nov 24, 2006

The summer sun shone just right against your eyes
i gave you this awed look
you stared back
with this look that has my name
written all over
a glazed look makes me wonder
why you're so far away
behind those curtains
you hide your characters
i wonder whether to kiss you, and tell you how i feel,
or forget it
but my jealousy
kept me wanting them to see only me.
and see and what i am, but also what i wanted to be.
i wanted them to remember me
forever
i wanted to lose myself in their charm, protect them from the explicitness of life.
experience their joys and sorrows.
i bless the day i found a pair of beautiful hidden marvels of wonder, those amber eyes shielded from the world, and me under a bandana.

It said a lot, but the flowing wasn't the best.. it wasn't bad, but yeah.. it just didn't roll off the tongue like some of your other poems, but it has emotion. good job with that! thanx for commenting on my poem
