How Christmas should be

by Leah D   Nov 24, 2006

I sit by the window as soft snow flies,
Each flake different as it falls from the skies,
The lights from the tree shining so bright,
reflected in the window darkened by night,

The magic of Christmas fills my head,
I long to go up and cuddle in bed,
But I know my excitement will keep me awake,
Lying for ever to wait for daybreak,

Pictures of presents and Santa arrive,
Filling my head making me feel alive,
Giving and sharing the love and the joy,
It\'s the way Christmas should be for every girl and boy.
