How long is forever?
I ask you, how long is always?
How much time does it take up?
How many minutes and tears does it waste?
Next time you say forever,
Can you tell me just how long that is?
Because I thought it meant never-ending,
I thought it meant life was always a beginning.
I thought you told the truth,
I trusted you, damnit...
I trusted you!
I was blissfully ignorant,
THinking forever didn't end.
Isn't that what they say in fairy tales?
You're not unique anymore,
Since you've lied to me, you just blend.
Fairy tales were cruel to me,
Forcing me to believe in dreams.
How can dreams come true,
When you only see them
While you sleep?
When you open your eyes,
Everything goes away.
Just like forever does,
Even though I thought
Forever meant always.
