And summer passed
These nights together
Were our last

And autumn sings
These golden wings
Will carry us

And winter freezes
These chilly breezes
Bit at us

And spring gloats
These charming boats
Won't float away

And through time
Nickel and dime
We have distanced

And with another
I am the other
That is left

The letter one
True friend's fun
Will not last

The letter two
Twas me and you
But long ago

The letter three
You without me
Soon washes in

And I search
Oak and birch
Hides you not

And I find
A newer kind
Of gentle friend

And standing together
We aren't forever
Just us two

And still here
You are near
Yet outside reach

I would trade
My summer days
For your return
To true friendship..

This is about me and my friend, my first real friend since gr 7, and her friend Heather whom I despise but I have to put up with because she is my friend's friend.. Heather has caused us to distance..

If you are going to comment on syllables, stanzas, or anything else about what is wrong with my poem, just don't! I don't want to hear it. This is the way I write it
Don't try to fight it
I won't hide it
Cause I hate it.
I hate people telling me how my poem isn't right. Poems are all different. It doesn't matter it they don't have flow or make much sense because it's about self-expression and if you oppress me I'll resist and leave nasty comments on your poems.
