I'll Stand By You

When the colors change on the trees,
New seasons come and old ones leave,
When the sun takes the place of the moon,
Just remember, I'll stand by you.

When the stars don't shine bright,
And you're alone out here at night,
When it seems there's no way through,
Just remember, I'll stand by you.

When photographs fade over time,
And the mountains are too tall to climb,
It seems that life paints only blue,
Just remember, I'll stand by you.

When old friends take a different path,
And you've forgotten where you're at,
To the left or right, you cannot choose,
Just remember, I'll stand by you.

Years can break the best of friends,
Who swore their bond would never end.
Trials tear the strongest of hearts,
And you're left to watch it fall apart.

But true friends know that tests make strong,
What false friends leave to move along.
So when these problems come into view,
Just remember, I'll stand by you.

    Amazing!! i love this poem.. very unique and its a nice touch how each stanza ends with the same line... amazing i just wow.. i really love this poem.. perfect rhyme perfect flow.. way more than 5/5!

    One of my friends is going through a bitter divorce right now and all of their friends have taken sides. Most of them she lost, but I copied this poem and sent it to her, I hope that's alright. It said exactly what I wanted her to know, that I'd be there for her.

    I just read this poem in the contest before You commented on mine and thought exactly the same thing You are thinking lol, that Yours is so god and it beats mine easily.. guess we'll have to wait and see hehe..
