Why did I make this crush seem more then what we have?

But my heart gave me the wrong answers,
So I resort to thinking twice,

He was only a crush and he thought me to think more of it,

I could never choose another,
But how could he make me feel like you were not the one?
I never knew I could get so swept in,
So clutched and suffocated,
He was my good friend,
And he didn't respect us,
My heart couldn't tell me the answer,
For my heart was for both of you,

And I decided to stay with you,
I reminded myself of all our memories together,
And of all my memories with my crush,
Then I talked to you and him separately,
We got along,
And my crush and me didn't,
