My Secret

by Learning2Breathe   Nov 28, 2006

There is a secret place I go to hide
While I listen to my parents collide
Their piercing screams echo inside my head
And cause yet another tear to shed

My body goes numb feeling the sharp pain
Course through my mom from my dad's tight reign
No one understands these tears I've cried
There is a secret place I go to hide

Stop that! Stop that! I silently scream
Why can't this all just be a bad dream?
I cover my ears and wish it away
It's not fair, the way you make her pay
After all, you were the one who lied
There is a secret place I go to hide.
