The Question

Marry Me?
Marry Me?
Ha!
You say you want to marry me!
I laugh at your foolishness
As you stare at me intently
You want to take my hand
And make it yours.
Take your life, my life
And make it ours.
I laugh at you
But there is nothing funny.
There is no humor in my cackle
There is fear.
I love you
I love only you
And i want you
But i don\'t want you to hurt me.
You take my hand
And you look me in the eye.
If you say it again
You say you want to marry me,
Maybe i will believe you.
I love you
I will marry you,
If you promise me,
This is not an impulse
Not a joke.
Promise me ours hearts
Are the same.
And i will marry you.
