Silence

She is silent only to me and this silence is killing me.

She will not look, she will not see the pain she puts me through.

Not a word comes out of her mouth.

She will not listen to a word I have to say,

only because the pain is to great for her.

If only she would give me the chance to hear me out,

to lift this burden off my heart,

just maybe something might come out of it.

I tried so hard, and tried I did.

My heart goes out to her and even more.

These questions dance in my head,

forever bothering my conscience,

Choices come up, oh, what to do?

Choices I wish not to make,

choices that will effect me in someway down the road.

What is a person to do?

I have the answer now,

I am silent to all, and all to me,

I will cease to exist,

so I walk into the darkening shadows,
