Bloodlust

by Jessica   Nov 28, 2006

Mirror mirror on the wall
Oh how I'd love to kill them all -

The taste of blood upon my lips
The coldness of my fingertips
The stare within my lifeless eyes
A plan without a compromise

A forceful stumble to the floor
Such sweet sobs just before
Before the plunge into his vein
Such venom that my fangs contain

I'll lead him to a dormant state
No longer will his pain inflate
This joy will reach a sudden end
My strength will once more ascend

Into the very dead of night
I'm off to have another bite
Mirror mirror on the wall
Oh how I'd love to kill them all.

Perfect! You don't know this about me yet, but I'm a 'truth teller'. I vote my true thoughts and I speak my true thoughts, and I don't bullshit just because we're buddies. This, I genuinly thought, was/is flawless. I couldn't see a single thing wrong. I loved the structure, the flow, the tone, the rhymes, everything, and that's why I'm putting this piece in my 'favorite poems' section.

P.S. I very, very, very rarely vote a piece 5/5, but I did this piece.
