Remember when you told me you loved me,
and that you wouldn't break my heart?
When you said we were meant to be,
and that we would never be apart.

Remember when you said you were different than other guys,
and that you wouldn't lie?
Or when you said love isn't what money buys
and for me to be worry free?

Remember when you promised me forever,
and that you would never cheat on me?
Or that you'll be there for me whenever,
and it will never be you or me, that it will always be a 'we'.

Why did you lie to me?

You didn't mean it when you told me you loved me
and you did break by heart.
You weren't right because we aren't meant to be,
and even though we are close, we are very apart.

You aren't different from other guys!
When you told me you wouldn't lie, you were lieng to me.
And to you my love was what money buys,
and now all I want is to be free.

Why couldn't we last forever?
Why did you have to go and cheat on me?
Were you there for me? Never!
And now there is no more 'we'.
