Underworld Portrait

by LadyPearl   Nov 28, 2006

Unconstrained pebbles spill upon the ground
The scent of blame rise unto barren walls
A garden withers from the fire of lust
Grey tinted pupils stare from the round
lotus sprouting out from the charcoal halls
Succumbing toward death's devious trust

Chains consume the hideous heat of sun
Shattering it's majesty to pieces of grain
A flutter, a shadow looms among the sky
Perhaps an illusion or the Devil's only son
Dressed in the richest blood champagne
While ink sketches trace under an eye

An underworld...or a fantasy of your own
A place of existence, or only of escape
I paint this portrait in hopes the one day
To find the source of my past's pale
cologne
