The ocean rolls in with each breath I take

As it washes away my heart that slowly breaks

Pounding fast my heart crashes as the waves do

For I cannot take the memories that weve been through

So Ill write our names in the sand one last time

Until the ocean washes away loves final sign

Of two hearts beating slowly far apart

While I watch us come to an end, that fell from the start

As I watch my past fade as the sun sets in the night

Shivering as I wrap the blanket around me tight

While the salty air comforts and kisses my skin

My pain slowly falls down my cheeks from within

And I take a breath in and whisper my goodbye as the wind blows

As the cold sand hugs me tightly, I watch the fires glow

Burning the broken love I can only remember but never again see

Along with the pictures and letters that hold such painful memories...
