Just Another War

by Taylor   Nov 29, 2006

Avert your eyes from the terror
of another single afternoon.
It's just another war, they say,
just another war.

Forget about my boys out fighting,
who used to live next door.
Just another war they say,
just another war.

Whose gonna remember them,
they're not here anymore?
Just another war, they think,
it's just another war.

What happened to the innocense,
and the days of youthful wonderment?
No more side-walk chalk
and grilled cheeses?

No more swing sets,
and twirling skirts
that fly away in gentle breezes.

No.
It all died in just another war.
