The Angels Fall

by Drusilla   Nov 30, 2006

The lonely girl looks in the mirror,
She doesn't understand,
How such a hideous girl could even be living,
She looks at the tool that will end this pain,
While erasing the horrible pictures of herself that she just saw from her mind,
She picks up the sharp, powerful tool that now holds her life in it's hands,
She runs her hands over the blades,
Thinking how something this beautiful, could be so deadly,
She moves the sparkeling object higher,
Until it reaches it's desired spot,
She pushes hard while dragging the sharp knife across her glistening skin,
She wonders how it would be away from all this pain,
She imagines herself sitting in a meadow,
With nothing but trees and flowers around her,
Just starring into the never ending exit above her,
That she will soon be part of,
The knife has now taken over more than half of her arm,
The pain being so unbearable,
She drops to the cold bathroom floor,
She manages to take one last glimpse of the reality she's leaving behind her,
She sees red,
Everything around her is blood red,
The knife that is now across the bathroom is not visible to this angel any longer,
All of a sudden her world that she's known for 13 years has been shut off from her,
She hears the tap water running that she turned on,
She hears her mom trying so hard to get into the bathroom to save her little girls life,
But she doesn't realize,
It's now to late,
The young child understands what she has just done,
And tried to grasp onto anything she possibly can,
But they keep being whisped away from her,
She hears the door being knocked down,
And hears her mothers scream,
Though she can't see her mother,
She knows the expression that crosses her face,
This girl begins to cry and screams out how sorry she is,
But no matter what she did,
She is now gone forever,
Her mom now holding her,
Crying with her daughters blood all over her,
She wishes this was a dream,
While she looks at her lifeless daughter laying in her mothers grasp,
She holds her tighter,
And rocks her gently,
The mistake now will burn at her forever,
She was to busy to realize this little girl needed help,
But everyone abandoned her,
But now she's truely alone,
Nothing can change the fact,
That her daughter is dead.
