Through Tinted Windows

by Amanda   Dec 1, 2006

Through tinted windows things just don't seem so bad,
A car accident that lies children in the hospital just isn't so sad.
It's scary to think of all the lives lost everyday,
And all of the family's left in dismay.
A car accident lies a child in a hospital bed,
His brother's in the room next to him with wounds on his head.
Their mother died at the scene but they don't know that yet,
I guess the doctors don't want them to have a bad mind set.
The younger one is in critical condition and he will surely die.
To think that the last thing he said to him mother was a lie.
Telling he of the things he's been doing lately,
She looked at him with disbelief and eyes affectionately.
But still he has victory for he will now be put to rest.
Even though he has sinned, he will now be blessed.
The older one has done nothing wrong because he holds his mother dear,
He wouldn't want to hurt her or ever make her shed one tear.
And yet he doesn't get the reward his sinful brother will,
All he gets is more painful memories in his head still.
He won't be able to distant them for many years to come.
He didn't do anything wrong, so why does he feel so numb?
He tries to kill himself and get the reward he deserves,
He shoves a blade into his wrist hoping to hit some nerves.
His arm is bleeding now as his world turns black,
He lays himself down to sleep and hopes that consciousness won't come back.
To him this world is a torturous hell that he does not deserve,
With all the pain and death that he had to observe.
He just wants to leave and never come back,
He drowns in a pool of blood from his own attack.
