Forever on my mind

by Easily4Gottn   Mar 23, 2004

Down south where I lived my entire life,
Humidity and warmth for me was best.
Unwilling to leave I put up a strife.
It was defying and opposed protest.
And now I'm here still missing things down there,
Like cowboy boots, sweet tea and "howdy y'all!"
Places like Waffle House are ev'rywhere,
And not to mention big, huge shopping malls.
Tornado's, lightning storms, all memories...
The Braves, peach farms, and crazy country songs,
And glorious katydid symphonies.
Goodbye my home what could i have done wrong?
O' Georgia state to me you were so kind.
But you will stay forever on my mind...

OK background..just so ya ll no what was going on when I wrote this...
my mom had just got divorced the first time, I moved to New Hampshire and yeah but turns out i like it more now that I have moved back to a different part of GA kinda ironic huh?
