I never knew what it felt like
I always wondered
Everyone had a story to tell
About them and their boyfriend
But I just sat in the corner and listen
It killed me inside
Because I couldn't imagine what it felt like
Then something happened
I met you
You brought me more than just a story to tell
You brought me happiness
And a smile on my face
You made me feel important
Like I was actually a person
Someone that mattered
I didn't need to know what you looked like
Or all that stuff that the other girls worry about
I just needed to know one thing
That you would never hurt me
There are so many words running through my head
So many things I wish I could say to you
About how you put a new bounce in my step
And even though you can't be here

That you did more than ask me to be your girlfriend
You made me feel like I wasn't the last choice
That I was the first
I know we can't be together like a normal couple
But that don't mean anything to me
Because even though we only pass words through the net
I know how much you care about me
