I was thinking about what use to be
then a tear came from my eye
and rolled down my cheek
how come what use to make me happy
is now the reason why im sad?
its not like i got my heartbroken
or stopped what we had
we were only separated
because i had to move
now youre with someone else
and "us" is in the past
we both already discussed it
we still have feelings for one another
but because of the distance
we knew if we had a relationship
it would not work
i will admit it hurts a bit
but im also happy that you found a girl
i cant help but wonder
if we wouldve ended up different
if i told you how i truly felt
its too late now
i was trying to wait for the right time
but i ended up waiting to long
since i didnt know how else to tell you
i decided to write you this poem
if you still dont understand how i feel about you
after youre almost finished with this poem
its the three little words
you may hear often
in fairy tales and songs
they are the words that explain
how i feel in my heart
if you still arent sure
of what im trying to say
i guess i will just let you know
i love you with all my heart
its been for awhile now
but like i said before
