The last words

by Rosie   Dec 2, 2006

She lays there in the red lined coffin
she seems so graceful
there is no smile
i could've made her smile
i always made her smile!
her hair doesn't seem as vibrant
it was always beautiful
long brown in many layers
her hands upon her stomach
they seem so..brittle
her eyes are closed
they were never closed
they were full of color and hope
i love when she looked at me
her lips not peach anymore
they're more of pale white
I remember when she kissed me
on the last day of her life
i could've helped her a lot more
i could've loved her more that's for sure
i want to make her smile again
i wish we could still be best friends
i look at my baby one last time
remember the words she spoke that horrid night
"baby boy, you're the only one for me and i know right now
that's kind of hard to see, now I must go, I'm afraid it's my time
now hold my hand and kiss me, it might be our last time
don't cry about this I'll be just fine, just remember I was your baby
and you were mine"
she closed her eyes..and she was gone
