Not the end

by Alfred Israel   Dec 2, 2006

I lost her, my bestest friend.
We were buds, until the end.
Always and forever is what we said.
But now our friendship feels so dead.

I wish you'd realize that we were wrong.
I don't want this pain to last very long.
We can be friends, we can be buds.
You're my girl, and I'm your joshy.

Don't forget the times we had.
Through the good, and the bad.
But in the end, every night,
I said I love you and sweet dreams.

I'm going to miss you friend.
That one I thought I'd have to the very end.
It seems like I made too many mistakes
for you to forgive me, so I couldn't make them right.

That's what I ask, for one last chance.
To show you what I've got, that I'm not a lost cause.
Cause you're my friend, until the very end.
And I can't let go. Not now, not tomorrow, not ever.
Always and forever is what we said.
