Do you watch from Heavens\' Sky?

by Rebecca   Dec 4, 2006

Why did you leave me that day 16 years ago?
Do you watch from beyond the grave?
Did you see me grow?

All the things you have missed,
My school years, first date, and kiss,
The first time my heart was broken,
You weren't there to catch my falling tears,
The saddest day by far,
Was the days my kids births where here,
You weren't there to ease my motherly fears,
Or to help through the years.

Do you watch from heavens sky?
Can you see all the lonely tears I cry?

Can you see your grandchildren grow?
My tears no longer for me alone,
But for my kids, and the love of a grandmother they will never know.

Do you watch from Heavens Sky?
Can you see all the lonely tears I cry?

Do you ever look down and see, all the pain in my heart,
All my fears, that have been there from the start?
A life without you was not a easy task,
Can you see through my happy mask?
A smile and a laugh so fake, but appear real,
Can you see how I really feel?

Do you watch from Heavens sky?
Can you see all the lonely tears I cry?

This poem is questions for my mom who has been dead 16 yrs now, I was only 7 when she was killed by a drunk driver.

i think this poem is incredible. I love it, and i can kinda relate to it to circumstances that are too lengthy to explain. I hope you have more writing to come.
    Great job.
