I miss you grandmother...

by lilmermaid   Dec 4, 2006

The scent of the flowers,
wafted by,
The leaves danced
With the gentle breeze,
The wide sky filled with,
The beautiful after glow,
Of the sunset.
The evening star appeared,
In the sky,
But I strode on,
Oblivious of the beauty around me.
Dusk was falling by,
I felt so lonely,
I felt so depressed,
Only one thing was on my mind,
Grandmother was gone,
These were the words,
I raged and raved,
All day long,
I cried and pleaded,
Day and night,
For grandmother to come back,
And I retreated into a shell,
From which,
I had no intention of emerging.
For a while,
I was angry with her,
For leaving me,
But as the years passed me by,
I began to let go,
Yet I cannot have made it through,
Without her memories,
By my side.
With her twinkling eyes,
And silvery hair,
With her age kissed skin,
And wisdom beyond her years,
She was loved by all.
It does not matter,
That she is not here,
Though I ache for her,
Now and then,
For I know,
She will always be there,
In my heart,
Forever to stay.
Oh...
How I wish I could turn back time,
Just so that,
I could run into her arms,
One last time,
And kiss her goodbye...
I love you and I miss you

Though my reply is a little late I still wanted to say thank you and I guess loved ones never really die for they continue to live through our memories...
