Red

by Kirsty   Dec 5, 2006

Red the only colour I see
Staining lives from here to the sea
No matter how hard you wash it away
With you it will forever stay

Red the colour of guilt
Killing the people carefully built
Changing the lives of the content
To a life of endless repent

red the colour of the taken
killing those who were forsaken
tearing families apart
and leaving a mark on their heart

red the colour of war
the truth they ignored
billions of bodies left to die
not leaving a second to cry

red the colour of our lives
staining our kitchen knives
ruining our will to let go of the clutched
no one was left untouched

Kristy, What a beautiful poem. It is very deep and intense. You are very good at exspressing yourself. Good Job!
