Guardian Angel

You've been lingering behind me every step of the way,
You've been there with me from the very first day.
I can't imagine what would happen if you suddenly went,
You're truly everything I need and my heart's content.
I really can't explain how truthfully grateful I am,
And I can't love you anymore than I already can.
You've always been here for as long as I can remember,
Every day of every month; from January to December.
I don't think I deserve everything that you give to me,
Cause you've done so much and you'll do it all for free.
You've always been there to help with my trouble and pain,
And your always there; even in the searing sun or freezing rain.
I don't know what I would have done or become without you,
Cause with all my problems you've been there to help me through.
I thank the Lord for my guardian angel and all that you've done,
Even though I've never seen your face; you've made me someone.
