Although he didn't love her

Good night he softly whispered as he told her goodbye
She forced a smile on her face as she tried hard not to cry
He let go of her hand and he kissed her on the cheek
She would've said "I love you" if only she could speak
She watched him walk away, he slowly closed the door
Although he didn't love her she still loved him like before
