O Gods I Pray

O Gods I Beseech you
What have I done?
Why have you cursed me?
No sins can be this black

I have committed no atrocities
Yet you deny me happiness
My hopes are shattered
Dreams taken from my heart

Why is my life this trial of pain?
Do you try to break me?
If so, I can't take much more
Soulless and empty, my destiny?

Thought I was to be
Gentle and strong
Helper of the people
Not so it seems

Born with all
A loving father and mother
Death you gave him
Replaced by the worst of men

I had a great friend
My sister since birth
Now she is locked away
Surround by walls of the mind

Twice I have been given love
A moments joy to add to my pain
The love is there
But you wont let me act

Do you know what you create?
Why do you need the daemon I am to be?
End this please
O Gods, I beseech you
