Save Her Now

by Megan   Dec 6, 2006

Running through the shadows of darkness,
mind and body taking whippings of the cold airs bitterness.
The soothing feeling of home has gone again,
as the twisting storm rages within.

Running aimlessly through the darkness,
salty tears streaming down the fair complected cheeks.
The young girl was going nowhere in particular,
wanting to leave behind everything that was familiar.

Crimson stains decorated the blouse,
the one that had been so pure and white like snow.
The tainted soul of this young girl was becoming too much,
her time was shortening as her heart was breaking in two.

Crying out she hoped that someone would come to her,
hoping that just someone may come to the rescue.
Yes, that is what she needed, what she wanted,
because nothing could hurt her any more than she already has been.

Falling down the path becomes unclear and the vision fades,
it's all turning to darkness surrounding the helpless body.
Somehow she's to survive this whirlwind of pain and suffering,
but what if there's no chance for the outcome to turn to good?

Oh, just another helpless soul lost in the fate of unforgiving parents,
of people who were supposed to care but really they don't.
She's been let down a few times before this,
and now there's nothing for her to do now other than make a wish.

Silently her thoughts come and she closes her eyes,
a prayer being said and a cry out to above.
Her wish is to have someone save her from this chaos,
to rescue her innocent self -- make her stronger -- save her now.

But if no one comes, what will she do then?
It's very clear on what will be done.
She'll sit herself in that familiar corner,
alone with her blade and carve away.

Peeling off the mask of happiness that she displays,
exposing her raw self to the world.
Wishing, hoping, longing for a friend to come,
someone to show her the world and life is better than this.

She'll just keep on committing this enjoyable sin,
the one that she gets so high off of that she loses all sense of reality.
And for a moment she feels alright inside of her mind,
but the truth is, she's not fine, and has left all familiar territory behind.
