If You're Not the One

by myshiningstar14   Dec 6, 2006

If you're Not the one for me,
then why does my world look brighter?
If you're Not the one for me,
then why has no one ever been tighter?
If you're Not the one for me,
then why does my heart fit yours this way?
If you're Not the one for me,
then why can't I imagine this any other way?

Frozen thoughts now come free,
how you've become apart of me.
Time against time,
heartbeat against heartbeat;
dreams arise,
new molds begin.

If you're Not the one for me,
then why do my eyes get so lost in you?
If you're Not the one for me,
then why do I stop breathing whenever I think of you?
If you're Not the one for me,
then why doesn't my sky keep falling?
If you're Not the one for me,
then why does your name keep calling?

Pain strips the angel beneath us,
how you've become an everlasting trust.
Lips against lips,
skin against skin.
two against the world,
one day against a lifetime;
souls finish their search,
forever will this love lurk.
