besides God, is you.
I've let go,
but the past
follows me.
When the shadow's
chase,
and my pain we can't
erase;
hold me,
take me by the hand
and never let me go.
I've got no where to
run,
no where to hide but
into your arms.
For the first time I
have a place to
belong,
something I can call
mine.
I've got nothing to
loose,
everything has been

I have so much to gain,
but with all this pain I
don't see how.

I can scream and deny this
but no heavenly bliss will
soothe it but your love

I live my life day by
day,
its shadow haunts me.
I could hide the tears
but they'd eventually
spill.
I could decorate the pain,
but then I couldn't hear
you say my name; the
voices would be too
loud.
I could lash out but then
everyone would give up on
me just like they always
have.
