The day has finally arrived
He wants to get together with me
I've been waiting for this day
For his handsome face to see

I saw him sitting at the bar
Wine in hand waiting for me
My heart racing so fast
Finally together we will be

He looked me in the eyes
And grabbed me so tight
To be in his warm embrace
The feeling was just right

Lost within each other
To all others we were blind
Gazing at each other
Trying to read the others mind

I told him I missed him
Missed him so very much
It was great to be this close
And once again feel his touch

He just smiled
Said he missed me too
Gave me yet another hug
Never said I love you

I told him to never forget
How much I needed him in my life
I love him too much
To cause him any strife

But something was amiss
Something wasn't right
What did he want to tell me
That he couldn't say last night

Is it time for me to back away
Is it time to convince my heart
That its time to let go
And simply stay apart

And tell me you need me too
I'd be totally heartbroken

I've always left him feeling so deeply in love, but last night I felt uncomfortable and it scares me.
