you were nothing but great
and everyone thought so

bcoz you were the worlds greatest
and never did anything wrong

when we all found out
none of us knew what to do
it was such a huge shock
all we could think about was you

which is understandable
as you were a huge loss to us all
and we would do anything
to have you back in school

it dont feel right
knowing im never gunna see you
bump in to you in the corridors
or at all in the blue

you didnt deserve to lose your life
that you worked so hard to make right
and to die doing the thing you loved
playing football what a fright

it was so unexpected
as you were a fit and healthy lad
the loss of you hurt us all
made us very sad

withonly pictures and memories
left for us to remember you by
i am righting this poem
to look back on and think why

why you?
its not fair
you were only young
and had so much joy to share

this is about a mate of mine, josh, who died playing football.
