I find it hard to write odes, trying to do a person, creature, object, etc.. that means a lot to you justice is quite difficult when you try to put it into words, but this..
I think you did an amazing job.
You kept the poem from sounding mushy and over the top and just simply expressed the way you feel and why.
The flow was a bit stilted at times when i read in my head but when i read the words aloud, they fell into place

I like the ending because though your mother knows of the problems, she wants the world to be strong, so she acts as though she is. And in itself, that is a sign of strength. A nice ode to your mother!
