Lullaby

by Kairi   Dec 7, 2006

Eye of the moon, kiss of the sun, a days work be done.
See the gulls fly so high, hear the sails ease back and forth.

Sweet lullaby of the sea sing to me

Sway of the ocean, rock of the boat, my off land support

Sweet lullaby of the sea sing to me.
Hand of the moon, rock me to sleep.

The creaks, the moans, oh how this old ship groans!
A whisper of wind carries my cry.

Sweet lullaby of the sea,
How now, you’ve become just as the sirens have sung.

The wind snaps and cracks, the water rises;
My sweet lullaby, now on your dieing note.

The storm ends and what a time it’s been,
Hearing the sweet melody of the sea.
